Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): engine wont rev up, throttle assembly, throttle cable

Question
I have a problem with my 200cc ATV engine, it idles but it won't rev up. While in idle though, I can make it rev up by moving the choke valve to almost close position, it then goes into high rpms, but if I push (even a little) on the gas the engine stalls. Very strange huh? Please help, thanks!

Answer
Carlos,
Not as strange as it seems
Have you tried to adjust your throttle cable to allow it less travel to the carb?
Usually with any ATV use causes parts to stretch and loosen up try to adjust the throttle cable and see if this helps you If not you may want to talk to an ATV shop About this issue it could be a simple fix by them adjusting the intakes for fuel and air mixturing and the throttle assembly
