Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn boy crankshaft, lawn boy mowers, assembly drawings

Question
The crankshaft on my Model 7260 Lawn Boy is bad & I am looking for another one (part #604315) or maybe I can bolt another good running 2 cycle Lawn Boy on if I cannot find a crankshaft, what do you think?

Answer
Hello Tim:

I have been Around Lawn Boy Mowers All My Life. LOL. Come to Think of it there are Not Many of the Popular Brands my Dad didnt Use. If you Find a Good Lawn Boy Engine; then Most Likely the Deck is Going to be Good. Also, so you will be Buying a Good Used Mower; One you will Most Likely Use Instead of Using the Engine Off of. I Suggest you Look Into Replacing the Crankshaft on this Mower if you Feel the Mower is Worth the Cost. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm?xCaller=LawnBoy and Select Start Parts Viewer. Then Enter the Model Numbers and Click Search. Then Select View Assembly Drawings. Then Select the Component you Wish to View. If your Local Dealer was Unable to Supply the Part, then Try the Site Addys Listed at this Site Addy; You can Use the Site Addys at this Site Addy; http://www.yetmans.mb.ca/antiques.html to Locate Used Parts for this Unit.  If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
