Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): primer bulb on a weedeater, arinet, nothing but air

Question
QUESTION: I cannot get the primer bulb to force fuel into the carb. It seems to maybe have a hole in it. Is it easy to replace and will this keep the engine from starting?

ANSWER: Hello Ed:

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. However, if the Primer Bulb is Bad or the Check Valve in the Primer has Stuck, then the Engine will Not Run. Depending on the Model, it can be Easy to Replace. Thanks.

QUESTION: John, the model number of the Weedeater is WT-3100. You try to prime the carb and get nothing but air. I need to know how/where to buy the primer bulb if I need one and how to replace it if I find one. Thanks! Ed

Answer
Hello Again Ed:

Thanks for the Model Numbers. After Viewing the Breakdown and From your Description it Sounds like the Fuel Line is Cracked or you May Require a Primer Bulb Assembly. I Suggest you Replace the Fuel Line and In Tanks Filter. If you Still Draw Air, then Replace the Primer Bulb Assembly. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram and Select the Catalog Poulan/Weed Eater. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
