Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda GC 160 5.5 engine won,t run, drain plug, carburetor

Question
I can pour gas in the carburetor and it will start, but stop as soon as the gas is gone. This is a Troy Built pressure washer that has less than  one hour on it. It sat for quite some time. I drained the old gas and put in new. I removed the line from the tank and have good flow.I removed the drain plug from the bottom of the carburetor and there is no gas coming out of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated  Thank you Al Wade

Answer
Something simple first.  Is the fuel turn off turned on?

Remove the carburetor.  Discard all gaskets.  Disassemble the carb.  Clean all surfaces and passages.  Install carb kit.  Reassemble use use gaskets.  This should fix it.

What happened is the fuel in the carb evaporated leaving a residue behind called varnish.  If it is to bad you will have to replace the carb.
