Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs & Stratton Wiring, briggs stratton, wiring connector

Question
I replaced an older B&S engine and the newer one has a wiring connector on the bottom of the carb urator. What has to be wired to this connector as the tractor does not have a connector to plug into it?

Answer
Hello Dave:

This is the Connection for the Carburetor Anti-Diesel Solenoid. It is Wired to the Ign Switch and has Voltage/Current when the Ign Switch is in the Run and in the Spring Loaded Start Position. It has No Voltage/Current when the Ign is in the Off Position. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
