Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Techcumseh HS40, high tension wire, air gap

Question
I removed the magneto assembly to examine the high tension wire for cracks.  I didn't mark it's location and now I have to install it with the prescribed 0.015" air gap between the flywheel magnets and the magneto.  How do I do it when the mounting bolts are hidden by the flywheel?  Do I need a special jig?

Answer
Hello Ryecase:

Yes you Require a Special Jig. Before I Purchased the Special Jig, I Used to Set these by Measuring the Flywheel and Using the Measurements, Set the Coil at .020in and then Install the Flywheel. I had Success for 10 to 15 Years Using the Measurements and then I Purchased the Jig to Simplify and Speed Up the Process. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please.
