Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn Tracter transmision Grease, peerless transaxle, question pool

Question
I have an old Wizard Lawn tractor that I have rebuilt the transmission. I would like to know if I use 90wt oil or do I use a heavy grease like what looked like to be in it. The mower is 18 hp model number NOP7117A19 with a Peerless Transaxle Model 930-005 trans.

Answer
Hello Micky:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was in the Question Pool. You need to Use 80W90 Gear Oil in this Model Peerless Transaxle. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the P. Then Select Peerless. Then Select To View Parts List Click Here in the Upper Right of the Page. Then Select the Series Transaxle. Then Select the Transaxle File for your Transaxle. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
