Answer
Hello Peter:

I cannot Check back to 08/07/06, but I believe the Question was Concerning the Drive Wheels Locking. Usually the Cxause for this is tthe Traction Cable Adjsutment. Adjust the Cable so the Drive Disc is Not Touching the Driven Disc. Usually as the Traction Drive is Used the Cable Slowly Stretches and Adjusting Becomes Necessary becaus the Traction Drive will Not Completely Disengage. You can View a Breakdown of the Mower at this Site Addy; http://www.jackssmallengines.net/parts.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Look Up. The Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Ariens) and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Select the Sectional File. Now you can View the Section of the Mower that ertains to this Repair. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
