Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): muffler for honda GC160, honda gc160, dive compressor

Question
We have a Honda 5 hp engine (GC160 with serial number GCAH-1576768) as part of a dive compressor setup. It is extremely noisy.

We saw a discussion you had with another person (http://en.allexperts.com/q/Small-Engines-Lawn-1746/2008/1/noisy-honda-gc160-engi...) that suggested a cigar type muffler (part G92070) for this engine. Do you know where this part can be bought? We have been unable to locate it. Do you see any problem fitting it to our engine?

Thanks very much.

Sincerely,
Beth

Answer
Hello Beth:

The Part Number for the Cigar Muffler is a Pramac Part Number. To Locate a Dealer Near you, Go to this Site Addy; http://www.pramacparts.com/default.asp?Context=Service_Network and Select the Country from the List Provided. You will Notice that the United States is Broken Down by States. This will Assist you in Locating a Dealer Nearest you. Also Using the Cigar Muffler, you can Use Pipe and Route the Muffler to Any location Away from the Engine that you Require. I have a Generator Mounted on my Camper and I have Routed the Muffler so it Exhausts Above the Camper. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
