Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Pull starter wont turn over motor, weed eater, wd 40

Question
QUESTION: I have a troy built weed eater that i have only used one season.  When i went to start the weed eater up it would not turn over.  If i pull the plug, and add some wd-40 might that break lose the motor?  In hine site i should have added a few drops of oil to the head last fall.  The motor is a 4 cycle motor.  No gas/oil mix.

QUESTION: Hi John, Just and update on my troy built weed eater
4 cycle
model# TB415CS
I had a little extra time today to i took the weed eater apart looking for the problem of why the darn thing would not turn over.  Well, i found the problem.  The cylinder was full of oil.  So i cleaned every thing up, and hopefully tomorrow it will start up good as new.  I think what happened was that over the winter the weed eater got turned over on its side, and the oil was able to find it's way into the cylinder.
