Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda HR215 lawnmower transmission, Transmission, Honda

Question
Can the gears/transmission on this 3-speed lawnmower be lubricated or greased?  I've had the mower since new.  Lately it seems to be getting louder (gear whine) while mowing.
Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hello Ralph:

I have Split the Cases on a Few of these and Added Grease to the Transmissions Internal Components. Sometimes this will Quiet Down the Gear Noise (if not worn to bad). Send me the Complete Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Example: HR215 HMA, HR215 HXA, HR215 SMA, ect. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Select Lawn Mower. Then Scroll to your Model Numbers and Select. Then Select the Transmission File. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
