Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 1438 jd saber, question pool, spec numbers

i have a 1438 jd saber mower replaced motor with a 12.5 b&s
when trying to start it it blows gasoline back through the air filter housing have compression.

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Model Numbers May be Stamped Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug. Thanks.
