Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Leaking carburetor, engine vibration, leak gas

Question
In answer to my last question about a leaky carburetor you suggested I replace the carburetor tank gasket. Is that the same thing as the carb mounting gasket and the fuel tank mouonting gasket? What would cause these to wear, just old age?

Answer
Hi Jerry:

Old Age, Engine Vibration and the Additives in the Gas Cause the Tank Mounting Gasket to Breakdown and Leak Gas. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
