Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MTD OHV Engine manufacturer, briggs stratton, ohv engine

I was wondering if you could tell me who actually manufactures the engine for this mower: Yard Machines (by MTD) 11A-54MC000

It lists the engine as "MTD OHV Engine". I am thinking that the engine is actually made by someone else. True? If so who?

Could it be Honda or Briggs & Stratton making this under the MTD name? Or is it made for MTD in China? Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

MTD has Started Manufacturing its Own Engines. This Mower has an MTD Engine Model 1P70M0. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Unit at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Unit you Wish to View.
