6.75 hp 123k02-0236-e1 04012659 Briggs&stratton motor on troy bilt pressure washer model 020207. Changed head gasket and put new pump on. Washer would only run while trigger was pulled. Ran rough. Donot know if govner in motor on plastic gear was installed correctly

When pressure washers run like that there are a few possible things that could be wrong.
The pressure regulator is set wrong
The pump is going bad.
Since this is a new pump try adjusting the reg so that it runs when the trigger is off and speeds up when you push the trigger. IT is a hit and miss adjustment.
