Dodge Repair: Caravan troubles, dodge grand caravan, rear brakes

Question
I've got a 1990 Dodge Grand Caravan (over 100,000 miles) with several problems that have developed recently. I have misplaced my book that came with the car, so I don't know what the indicator lights are telling me. Anyhow, I think that I've reached the "fix everything" state that old cars hit every now and then. Up till now I've had not problems. Here are the problems...

1. When it is wet outside, I get a loud clunk in the rear brakes and they lock and I slide a little. If I brake very slowly, I don't have the problem. It doesn't happen when it's dry. Is something sticking?

2. The check engine light comes on when I get up to highway speeds for a while. I forgot what this is telling me.

3. My husband changed the oil last week and when he got in and started the car the oil light was on. What is is telling me?

4. When accelerating, around 30-40 mph I get a shimmy in the front end. The harder you accelerate the harder the shimmy. Is this shocks? I know they need replacing...

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
1. This is due to a bad rubber brake line in the back. This causes the brakes to lock. Also, you may be due for new brake shoes and/or drum. 2. This is telling you that the O2(Oxygen) sensor is bad. 3. This can only be determined by scanner for sure, but it could be a faulty oil sensor. 4. This means you've got a bad motor mount, these vans are noted for it. I've replaced well over 50 of them. Hope this helps!
