Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda GX 160 5.5, honda gx 160, blown head gasket

Question
When starting the mower, choke on, Pull the cord and then it runs for a couple seconds, blows out an oil cloud and shuts down.  Wait a few minutes same thing.  Air filter and fuel seem to be fine, oil level checks out.  Just don't know what to check next.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan

Answer
Hello Dan:

From your Description, it Sounds like you Need to; Check for a Blown Head Gasket Between the Cylinder and the Push Tube Galley. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Select the Engine File and then Scroll to your Engine and Select it. Then Select the Section you Wish to View. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
