Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere Starting solenoid, starter solenoid, kawasaki engine

Question
QUESTION: I am trying to replace the starter solenoid and am having a problem removing it from the Starter. I have dropped down the Starter Assy. but can't remove it from its position.
my question is,can the starter Assy. or the Solenoid be removed without lifting the engine off its mounts.

ANSWER: Hello Carroll:

On Some Model JD Mowers the Engine May have to be Liftedd a Few Inches to Remove the Starter. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Thanks.

Answer
Hello Carroll:

Usually, Just Removing the Engine Mounting Bolts Nearest the Starter and Loosening the Other Engine Mount Bolts will Allow the Engine to be Raised/Pried Up Enough to Remove the Starter. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H and Enter the Model Numbers and Click Find. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
