Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): engine oil type, 4 stroke engines, horizontal shaft
QuestionI have a Tecumseh 8.0 HP single cyl. I- head design, horizontal shaft in a snow blower. What type of oil should I use for replacement?
AnswerHello Quinton:
Since this is a Tecumseh Engine, I have a PDF Site Addy that May Assist you Also. http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf . I Suggest and Use the Mobile Synthetic SAE 30 Engine Oil in All my 4 Stroke Engines. This Oil Maintains Viscosity Longer and Better than Other Oils I have Used. The PDF Site I Provided May Suggest a Different Weight Oil, Depending on your Weather and the Average Temperature of your Area. Some Colder Areas May Use a SAE 10-30 Synthetic Oil. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
Good Luck
