Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 1991 polaris indy sport 440, polaris indy, polaris atv

Question
i just bought a 1991 indy 440 sport,  which is in great condition.  when we bought it the guy said it ran great but when we took it out for a ride in bogged somewhat but we figured "old gas" so added a tank of premium and we took it ice fishing it ran great the first day then we were riding it and it slowly bogged to a stop and wouldn't even fire for us, so we had to tow it back to the cabin,  about 20 minutes later it fired up and ran alright but bogged at idle and after about 5 more minutes of riding it bogged to a stop.  we got it home and took the carbs apart totally cleaned them and got then back together started it up and it seemed to run good for a while then started bogging real bad again. any suggestions.   -Gary.

Answer
Hello Gary:

This Sounds like: 1- The Coil is Breaking Down or CDI Box/Ign Module Heating Up. Either of these 2 Items will Cause the Problem you Described. You can View a Breakdown of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.atv-parts-center.com/ and Select Polaris ATV Click Here. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
