Suzuki: sidekick driveshaft, manual hubs, suzuki sidekick

if i take out my front driveshaft on my 89 suzuki sidekick can i still drive it or will i lose my gear oil in my transmission too?

Answer
If I remember correctly, the driveshaft has flanges on both ends of the driveshaft.  If so, you're good to go.  If not, it should have hubs that, if still automatic, will disconnect for normal highway driving.  You can easily replace them with manual hubs.
