Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda EX1000 generator(not EU), cast iron cylinder, honda ex1000

Question
I am shortly going to purchase a Honda EX1000 geberator to power my 26' RV.I understand this uniy is no longer sold in the US,has a cast iron cylinder(as opposed to the new version(EU)with an aluminum cylinder, has an inverter for more consistent power9the EX does'nt).
My question is,is the EX a decent machine?I have read reviews from people that say "grab one if you can" and others say they are a bit more noisy than the EU(how much??)and they supply power that varies with engine speed.I will only be powering one or two small lamps,a TV,and never multiple items at once.Stove fan, lights,TV for instance.
    Any help would appreciated.Thanks

Answer
Hello Jordan:

This is an Opnion Question. lol. The EX Does Seem to Vary the Output at Different Engine Speeds. It is Slightly Noisier, but Not Enought to Make a Real Difference. I have Many Customers and See Many Different Generators. I have to Say that Only you can Decide if the Appication is Correct for the Generator. They All have the Same Basic Problems with the Engines and with the Generator Units. I Use a 3000 Watt Generator for my camper and run  Several Components at Once. The Referigiator, Heater and Lights. Never had a Problem and Never had the Lights Stay Dim. I Hope this is What yoy were Looking for. Thanks for Using All Experts. Till Next Time. May All Your Mechanical Problems be SMALL ONES and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks Again.
