Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 18hp Briggs, solenoid, snag

Question
my 18 hp vanguard 350777 would not turn over so I replaced starer, battery and solenoid to no good. thanks to this site found that the valves needed adjusted. I set the intake at 005 and the exhaust at 010 and it started right up but does'nt have a lot of power like before. could my settings be wrong? thank you for your help

Answer
Hello Jerry:

On this Model Set the Exhaust at .007in - .009in. (.008in) and the Power Should Return. If the Power Does Not Return, then Check the Push Tubes and Make Sure One Did Not get Bent. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
