Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ariens ST524 Wiring Diagram, walk behind lawn mowers, number designation

Question
QUESTION: Hi,
I bought a used Ariens ST524 snowblower that was working.  However, recently it stopped working and when I looked at the check/starter switch assembly (underneath) I found one of the wires appeared to be broken.  My suspicion is that this wire is critical to the spark plug operation, but without a wiring diagram, it is impossible for me to know where it should go connected.  I have the ST524 repair manual, but it doesn't go into the wiring diagram.  Any idea where I can get one?  Thanks much for your help.

Regards,
RC

QUESTION: John,

Thanks for your prompt response, and sorry for the delayed reply.  I was on the road this week and just got back.  Where is the Model Number typically located on the unit?  I want to make sure I'm sending you the right numbers...  Thanks again.

Regards,
RC

ANSWER: Hello Again RC:

The model and serial number designation is located in an area that is easily visible. The locations will vary by product and model year. The locations are as follows (all locations are given from the operator's position): Zero-turn mowers - back left side of frame near the engine Rear engine riders - left or right side of main frame right below the seat Tractors - front left or front right side of tractor frame or on the right side of the dash support Walk Behind lawn mowers - top or right side of rear discharge opening Sno-Thros® - back left side of main frame or on handlebar The model identification will consist of six numbers that begin with a "9". QUESTION: Ok, I believe I've found the numbers.  They are:
MODEL: 932020
SERIAL: 010673
Please let me know if these make sense or not.  I got them off of a small plate on the back of the equipment (lower left hand corner).  Thanks again for your assistance.

Answer
Hi RC:

Looking at the Breakdown for thus Unit, I See a 2 Wire Harness. This is a Shut Off Harness. When the Ign (key) is in the Off Position, then Coil/Ign Module is Grounded Out and the Plug will Not Fire. When the Ign (key) is in the Run Position, then Coil/Ign Module is Not Grounded Out and the Plug Fires. If your has a Different Set Up, then Let me Know. All the Ariens Mower I have Performed Maintenance on had a Plug at the Ign Switch Unless it is a 2 Wire Harness and the Breakdowns of Ariens Equipment Show a Plug Except for the 2 Wire Harness. You will have to Use an Ohm Meter an Locate the Destination of Each Wire and then Match it to the Ign Switch Lug. The Ign Switch should be Marked with Letters Stamped Beside Each Lug. Some are Stamped for the Color Code (ie: R = Red, B = Black, G = Green, ect.) and Others are Stamped for the Component (S = Solenoid, C = Charger/Stator, B = Battery, G = Ground, ect.). If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
