Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Old Ariens Snowblower replacement carb, ariens snowblower, tecumseh carburetor

Question
Hello!, I've been trying to track down which replacement carb # i should use on an Ariens snowblower with Tecumseh 6hp engine H60-75376M ser7257D. The only #s i can see on the carb are 566-7F17. I did find a list of engine parts on the web for this engine that says carb 631911 was used originally, but can't seem to find any more info on this number is there a newer replacement? Thanks

Answer
Hello Hank:

The Tecumseh Carburetor PN 613911 has been Discontinued. You can have your Local Tecumseh Dealer Order you a Service Carburetor (Tecumseh PN 631787) for this Engine. You May have to Change the Choke Shaft and Something Else if I Remember Correctly. It has been 8 or More Years Since I have had to Purchase a Service Carburetor, but it is Not Complicated to Change the Parts Required from your Old Carburetor to the Service Carburetor. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
