Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mufflers for small gas engines, small gas engines, briggs stratton

Question
I have a generator that uses a Briggs & Stratton gas engine. In order to reduce the noise while operating can one acquire a higher quality muffler to replace the current one on the machine? If you answer yes, can one acquire a better muffler from B & S or from an after market supplier?

There are Several Mufflers Offered for Small Engines. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engineand the Generator, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Thanks.
