I have a Craftsman riding lawn mower with a Kohler 16.5hp engine that idles, but runs really rough (a lot of shaking) at high speed. This problem occured after a broken sprinkler pipe threw water on it. The engine starts fine and idles okay. The model number of the engine is cv16s ans serial number 3026208523.

You may want to check the carburetor sounds like the high speed jet needs adjustment,or if you hit something you may have bent the shaft on the engine.Also check to see if there is water in the fuel and check the electrical system for water in the wires.Blow them out with air
