Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): not shutting off, hello jim, cylinder head

Question
I was trying to shut off my mower and it wouldn't stop so i pulled the plug wire and it stayed running...so i moved the wire as far away as i could so there would be no spark...and it still stayed running...i had to run it out of gas...how is this possible?

Answer
Hello jim:

Usually the Only way this Problem Occurs on a Gas Engine is When Carbon Builds Up on the Piston or Cylinder Head or the Plug is Too Hot for the Engine. Are you Using the Correct Plug? If the Plug Tip Gets Red Hot (usually the plug is too hot for the engine) it will Ignite the Gas without a Spark or there is Carbon on the Cylinder Head or Piston Top. Remove the Cylinder Head and Remove the Carbon from the Top of the Piston. When the Carbon Get Hot it will Ignite the Gas Even when the Plug is Not Firing. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
