Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): echo PB 261 leaf blower, tank fuel, exhaust port

Question
My machine is only a couple of years old with light use. It starts fine but whan
I throttle up the egnine bogs down and will quit. I took the carburetor apart
and looked for something obvious but no luck. Tried spraying some carb
cleaner behind the air filter and I think there was a very small amount of
improvement in performance. Any ideas?
Thanks
Jeff

Answer
Hello Jeff:

Remove the Muffler and Inspect the Exhaust Port for Carbon Blocking the Exhaust Port. Check the Muffler and Spark Arrestor Screen (in the muffler) for Blockage Also. If the Exhaust Port and Muffler are Clear, then the Carburetor May Require Cleaning or the In Tank Fuel Filter May Require Changing. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Blower at this Site Addy,
http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and
Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the
Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model and
Type Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the
Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the
Engine you Wish to View. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
