Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&s 5hp engine, gauge wire, spec numbers

I have a B&S 5hp engine.  It has a run stop switch on it but it does not work.  that is when it goes to stop the engine continues to run.  Is it suppose to short out the plug etc.  it appears to have no wiring to it.  How do I correct this?

Hello Jackie:

Remove the Blower Housing (metal Engine Cover) and Locate the Wire for the Coil/Magneto/Ign Module. The Cut Of Switch Wire is Connected to the Coil/Magneto/Ign Module. If No Wire (this would be rare), then Use a 14 or 16 Gauge Wire and Make a Cut Off Wire. Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please.
