Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Pressure washer chemical injection, sears craftsman, calcium buildup

Question
I have a Sears/Craftsman 5HP 1900 PSI 2 GPM pressure washer model no. 580.768110.  Been working fine for the past three years. At present, the washer fails to dispense detergent/cleaner in the low pressure mode. On examination, the chemical injection fitting was plugged with what appeared to be a calcium buildup. Soaking that part in CLR cleaned it up nicely but the pump still fails to dispense. Could the chemical injection venturi also be plugged and if so, how to clean it?  Is that part removable?

Answer
Hello Bill:

Calcium is the Biggest Problem with Most Chemical Injection Systems when they have Problems. Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Upper Left Search Box and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. From this Page you can View Diagrams or Parts Lists for you Equipment. Select "View Diagram" for the Pump. I Usually Disassemble the Complete Pump and Use CLR to Clean the Calcium Deposits from the Venturi and the Whole Pump. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
