Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 160cc engine / Yardman/Honda lawn mower bought new recently, honda lawn mower, oil plug

What is the oil /crankcase capacity on this model, please?!
I could NOT find it in the literature. I find standing oil on the mower deck (last two times after use). Have I damaged the mower. Too much oil? Great little mower - runs like a trooper - I hate to take it back. Thank you so much for your help, Stan

Hello Stan:

Usually 24oz -26oz is the Normal Oil Capacity. If the Engine has a Dip Stick, then Check the Oil with the Dip Stick Screwed In or Pushed In All the Way. If the Engine has an Oil Plug on the Side of the Engine for Filling the Crankcase with Oil, then Fill the Crankcase to the Top of the Threads. Hope this Helps.
