Chevrolet Repair: 2000 Cev Silverado 1500, vehicle speed sensor, component views

Question
I have the above listed vehicle. Occasionally, I have problems with the transmission jumping hard into gear going from 1st to 2nd. I have been told by numerous people that it is the 1/2 shift solenoid. One dealer told me it is located inside of the transmission and 2 others said it is located inside of the tranny pan. i am going to buy the solenoid this weekend and change the fluid filter along with the solenoid. The only problem i have is that no one seems to be able to tell me or give me a diagram as to which solenoid it is, since i am sure there is more than one. can you help?? Thank You,
