Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro self propelled problems, assembly drawings, self propelled mower

Question
QUESTION: Hi,
I have a Toro 20005 model self propelled mower.  A few weeks ago, the self propelled cable control broke.  I installed a new cable, and the mower ran good for about 2 hours.  Then the self propelled mechanism stopped working.  I removed the cover, the belt still starts and stops, so it seems like the only choice is in the gear box.  It seems odd that it is so soon after the other problems.  Thanks for the help!

ANSWER: Hello Roger:

That is Rare and Does Not Happen Often. Usually the Transmission will Function for 10 Years or More before Giving Problems. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Thanks.

QUESTION: Hi,
It is a Model 20005.  I purchased it early in the 2006 season.  Thanks!

Answer
Hello Again Roger:

Sorry I Did Not Reconize the Model Numbers. My Mistake. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. Select the Transmission File. The Roll Pin that Connects the Bevel Gear to the Shaft has Most Likely Sheared. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
