John,
When I removed the spindles from the 38" deck I didn't notice how the tab located on one side of the 3 bolt pattern of the spindle was placed. Does it matter when I bolt it back how this tab is aligned?  I checked the John Deere web site and it doesn't show the tab in the assembly diagram.

Hello Bob:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. Some Decks have a Slot the Tab Sets Into. If your Deck DOes Not have the Slot, then the Spindle is Simpled Bolted to the Deck. Use Blue Thread Loc to Ensure the Bolts Do Not Loosen During Operation. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
