Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): riding mower wont start, hp kohler, gt200

Question
Hi,
We have a Husqvarna GT200 with a 20 HP Kohler motor Model number MV20S Spec # 57527.
The mower would start and run fine for about 10 or 20 minutes then quit. After it cooled off for a couple of hrs or so it would start and run good for about the same length of time then quit again.
We changed the plugs, the gas line filter and cleaned the air filter. Same results.
The was no spark when it would not run so we installed a new ignition module/coil.
Now it will turn over but will not start at all.  Oil, fuel and fuel cap are all in excellent condition.  Any suggestions on where we go from here would be appreciated.

Answer
Hello Cindi:

Did you Install the Coil/Ign Module Correctly? One Side of the Coil is Grounded to the Coil/Ign Module Mounting Bracket. The Other Lead is Attached to the Shut Off Wire from the Ignition Switch. Disconnect the Shut Off Wire from the Coil/Ign Module and Check for Fire. If the Plug Fires, then a Safety Switch is Causing the No Fire Problem Now. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View. Hope this Helps.
