Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Eager-1 Oil Change, craftsman eager 1, drain plugs

Question
I want to change the oil on my Craftsman lawnmower model 917.3777582 Tecumseh engine. Is there a drain plug on this one? I found 2 screws underneath it (besides the 4 that I believe hold the engine to the body) and when I unscrewed them no oil came out. Is one of these the drain plug? Maybe there in no oil? Some of it spilled when I flipped it over while relacing the blade. I would appreciate any HELP. THANKS

Answer
Hello Bennie:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers. Then Select your Model and Download the File for Online Viewing. On Page 1 of 5; the Drain Plugs are Breakdown Numbers 72 and 72A. Never Flip an Engine. Always Tilt the Engine so the Spark Plug is Facing Up. Disconnect the Plug Wire from the Coil Before Working Under the Mower. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
