Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Yard Machine Riding Mower, screw head, impact wrench

Question
I tried to remove the steering wheel and shaft due to teeth being worn down and i can't budge the screw head that is holding the shaft in place. Do i have to put a torch to the screw head to remove it? Thanks in advance

Answer
Hello Mike:

Soak the Nut With PB Rust Catalyist. Allow it to Work for a Couple of Hours and Re-Spray the Nut. Use a Flat Punch and Hit the Sides of the Nut to Loosen the Rust from the Threads. Use of an Impact Wrench, Either Electric or Air is Best when Removing this Nut. If the PB Doesn't Help, then you Will need to Use Heat on the Nut. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
