Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): LT1000 B&S 17.5 HP carb removal, welsh plugs, briggs and stratton

Question
John---thanks for getting back to my original question about my gummed up carburetor on my lawn tractor. Here's the Model number you requested: 31C7.07 Type: 0230E1
Need to know how to remove carb to soak it.
Thanks.

Answer
Hello Again Rick:

Go to this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. The Select the File #31. Then Select the Folder #31C700. This Will Download a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine. The Carburetor and Intake are on Pages 3 of 10 and 4 of 10. From the Breakdown/IPl you should be Able to See how the Carburetor is Removed and Disassembled. Remember, You Do Not have to Remove the Welch Plugs from the Carburetor During the Disassembly Process. The Carburetor will Come Clean with the Welsh Plugs Left Installed. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck

Respectfully

John
