QUESTION: john it's a toro 20107 self propelled and it's almost impossible to shift with the cable.

Answer
Hello Again Scott:

On this Transmission the Hard to Shift is Usually Caused by 4 Things. 1- The Cable is Binding Inside the Shield. 2- The Transmission is Low on Oil. 3- the Shift Keys (#40) are Worn and Need to be Replaced. 4- A Bushing has Worn and the Shaft is Not Centered and the Gears and Shaft are Binding. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower and Transmission at this Addy, https://lookup2.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Select Gear Case Assembly. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
