Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Carburetor, gas stabilizer, honda engine

Question
Given that my Honda engine/Husqvarna 55R21HV's carburetor seems to get clogged every spring after 3 uses, is there any gas additive that might help with last use or prior to a 4 month layover? Is it as easy to soak carb in a solvent, blow and assemble with new gaskets?

Answer
 Hello Steve:

I have found that Proper Winterizing is the Best Cure for the Carburetor Problem. Empty the Gas Tank and Pour in about 3 to 4 ounces of 2cycle Fuel Mix that has Sta-Bil Gas Stabilizer in it. Run the Engine Until the Tank and Carburetor are Empty. Then try to Start the Engine Several Times. Then Store for the Winter. The Oil in the Fuel Mix Helps the Rubber and Coats the Inside of the Carburetor and Helps Prevent Rust and Corrision. I Use Sta-Bil Gas Stabilizer in All my Small Engine gas. Doing this, I Usually have to Clean and Rebuild My Equipments Carburetors about every 4 to 5 Years. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require More  Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully
