Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Rewind assembly, self propelled lawn mower, starter rope

How do I remove the rewind assembly on my Craftsman 20" self propelled lawn mower Mod.#917-377690. I want to replace the pull starter rope.

 You have to Remove the Tank First. Then Remove the Blower Housing (metal engine Cover). You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers 143.006706. Then Select Click Here to Download File. This is the Engine Model on you Mowers Frame.
