Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs Help, type numbers, safety switch

I've got a Briggs Motor : YBSXS.5012vp  / 274826  It is currently on a john deere mower, it replaced a 14.5 briggs that was blown..  I dont know what size motor it is, i think its a 12 hp ,  it is not charging the battery currently..  and it wont turn over at all after a charge. any documentation would be helpful..  ( wiring diagrams etc..  )  thank you

 The Not Starting even After a Charge is Most Likely a Safety Switch. Will the Engine Turn if you Jumper Direct to the Starter? The Manuals for this Engine Are NoT Offered Online.
