Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S CARB, ball diamond, powerwasher

I HAVE A B&S 6.0HP 12H812 POWERWASHER,I'M LOOKING AT FOR A FRIEND,IT WAS USED AT A BALL-DIAMOND ,SO I THOGHT IT WAS BAD FUEL OR SAND IN GAS TANK, I CLEANED THE TANK AND THE CARB,WITH COMPRESSED AIR, THE ENGINE STARTS ON CHOKE BUT IF I MOVE THE CHOKE TO WIDE OPEN IT SURGES AND WILL DIE IF I DO NOT CLOSE IT BACK! NO ADJUSTMENTS SEEN,WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT??? THANK-YOU IN ADVANCE

 Hello Martin:

 A Carburetor is Hard to Get Clean. Did you Soak the Carburetor Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner? If Not, then Soak the Carburetor Overnight and then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. I have had to Do this 2 or 3 times before the Carburetors comes Clean. From your Description it Sounds like that is Still the Problem. The Main Jet in the Carburetor is Still Restricted. Depending on the Carburetor, you May have to Replace it. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.
