Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Loose belt for cutting blades, briggs and stratton, hydro drive

Question
Hi John, I have a Victa 4015HX 14.5HP Hydro drive ride on mower. I was using it today when I hit a rock and it stopped cutting. I think the belt driving the cutting blades has come off as it was sitting slack and only around 3 of the 4 pulleys, and I don't know the correct way to put it back on again. The mower still runs fine, just the blades won't engage when I push the lever forward.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
regards,
Fiona

Answer
Hello Fiona:

>>If the Pulley has a Flat Surface with Slight Outer Retainer Edges, then the Flat Side of the Belt Rides on the Pulley.
>>If the Pulley has a Deep V-Groove, then the V Side of the Belt Rides in the Pulley.
>>I have been in Touch with Briggs and Stratton (they Purchased Victa in 2008) and they are Incorporating the Victa Line of Products into their Data Base so they can Offer Online Viewing of the Victa Products in the Future. They have Not Completed this as Yet and your Machine is Not Offered for Online Viewing.
>>Please, Do Not Hesitate, If you Hit a Snag, if I Missed Something or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
