Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): petrol trimmer, pope 2, spark arrestor

Hi John, i have a Pope 2 stroke trimmer. it starts perfectly then runs for great for 2 to 3 minutes then dies. it won't start again. i leave it for a couple of hours and does the same thing. could this be a problem with the coil or would it be more likely to be a fuel problem. thanks for your time.

 Run the Trimmer Until it Quits. Remove the Plug and Check for Fire. If No Fire at the Plug, then the Coil is Bad. If Fire is at the Plug, then Check the Gas Cap and Ensure it is Venting the Tank Properly. If the Cap is Good, then Remove the Muffler and Check for Blockage in the Exhaust Port and Muffler. Check the Spark Arrestor Screen in the Muffler, also. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.
