Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro Snow blower small, speed unit, fuel line

Question
About two weeks ago it ran great, but I think I  ran it too low & sucked up dirt.  It will run till empty primer then shuts down.  Anything I can do without tearing it apart?  I am not mechanically inclined

Answer
inside the tank  on fuel line ,  or at times it may have an inline fuel filter,   by any means  i  am thinking your filter is blocked up.   if you remove fuel line into tank  you may find a small  straw type filter stuck in fuel line, remove it and clean. (these filters are nothing more then a very small screen).    adjust your carb. there maybe limit caps on set screws.  i pull them off and adjust as needed.   one will be marked by an (H) one will be marked by an (L). look on carb. next to them.  but anyway > turn them in  lightly until they stop...  back them out  1> 1 1/2  turns each.  try this,  and when  running tweak them as needed til it runs best.   make sure thottle shaft is not stuck and moves freely.  if its a fixed speed unit,  there will be a spring running to a tab,  if you bend that  one way or other it gives it more power or less < thus>  aplying more pressure on spring.   if none of this works for you???  and everything checks out okay????  then i,m afraid the carb.  must be removed taken apart and serviced.   try this and let me know.
