Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): adding a light to my snow blower, engine model type, adding a light

is it possible to add a headlight to my toro model 521 snowblower.  It has electric start with an ext cord, but no battery.

What is the engine model, type and code of the engine?  Most likely you have a Tecumseh Snow King engine and the engine numbers model, spec and serial number.

Let me know and I will look up the engine to see it you can add an alternator.
Another option is to add a motorcycle battery and run the light directly off the battery.  The downside is you would have to charge the battery and those little batteries do not handle heavy loads...they will fail quickly.
