Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Backpack blower, exhaust port, carburetor

Question
I've had a Homelite backpack blower for several years and now it's difficult to start.  When it is running, it stalls and won't run on the highest setting.  The spark plug seems good and the gas and filter are clean. Help!

Answer
 Hello Paul:

Have you Removed the Muffler and Checked the Exhaust Port for Blockage. Have you Checked the Muffler and Spark Arrestor Screen for Blockage. If these are Clear, then the Carburetor May need to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. What is the Compression? If the Engine Compression is 70psi or Better then the Carburetor is the Problem if the Exhaust and Muffler are Clear. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
