Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Masport 635 2 stroke mower pull cord stuck, briggs and stratton, recoil starter

The mower is actually a 4 stroke. The engine is a Briggs and Stratton 'Magnatron' model # is 92908/type 5371-01/code 8505 2305. Thanks for your help and advice. Andy.

The pull cord of my Masport 635 2 stroke mower is stuck fully extracted and won't return inside the mower. What's involved in fixing this?

 Hello Andy:

 Remove the Recoil and Disassemble and Replace the Spring. It Sounds like the Spring has Broken. Send me the Make and Model Numbers Off of the Engine, Please.  You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Recoil Starter at this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Select the File # 9. Then Select the 3rd File with the Numbers 92900 - 92999. This will Download the Breakdown/IPL. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance.
